Our fee for a full comprehensive speech assessment is $650
Assessment starts by completing our pre-assessment form.
Once you have completed this, our admin team will call you to talk through next steps. We will provide you with a copy of our Welcome Package that provides more details about our services.
After your assessment appointment has been confirmed, our admin team will send you an email with all the details. A few days before your appointment, the assigned therapist will give you a call to introduce themselves and answer any questions you may have. When you arrive at the clinic on the day of the assessment, please let our admin team know you are here. Your therapist will come out to greet you.
The assessment appointment typically lasts about 90 minutes. It usually involves discussion with you about your child’s strengths and challenges, and an assessment of your child using structured and/or unstructured tasks.
After the assessment, your therapist will take some time to gather all the information they need. This sometimes includes talking to preschool/school teachers or other important people in your child’s life. They will analyse all the information and write an assessment report.
The speech pathologist will contact you to organise a time for a parent-only session. They will talk through the findings of the assessment, recommendations, and next steps. This often includes the development of an important document called a therapy plan.
