Meet Ivy
therapy assistant
|
Ivy officially joined our team in 2024 as a therapist assistant. She is currently studying her Masters of Speech Pathology at the University of Technology Sydney.
Outside of work Ivy enjoys spending time with family and loved ones, ice skating and hanging out in nature, surrounded by animals.
I’m excited to be a part of an extraordinary team of Speech Pathologists with great missions to give back to the community via their holistic and family-centred approach to therapy. It excites me to see the small and big positive changes our clients make every session, and how much such effect ripple into their lives and their whole family.
My favourite children book of all time has to be “The boy, the mole, the fox, and the horse” by Charlie Mackesy. It is a beautiful book about a boy’s relationship with himself and his friends, the fox, the mole and the horse. The book also displays how
the boy discovered self-acceptance and resilience through a long journey finding his way home, and through the relationships he has with his friends. This book can be read and enjoyed by the whole family, whether you are 8 or 80. As the life lessons highlighted in the book i.e., realising one’s uniqueness, accepting oneself and others, seeking support from closed ones, etc., are timeless.
