education And qualifications
I became a speech pathologist because I’m passionate about supporting children and making a positive difference in their everyday lives. I enjoy helping children build their communication skills and confidence, while working closely with families to support their child’s development. Seeing children grow and thrive, and being part of that journey with families, is what makes this work so rewarding.
What I love most about my job is building relationships with children and their families. I enjoy getting to know each child’s unique personality and finding fun and meaningful ways to help them achieve their communication goals. I love using engaging activities in therapy and celebrating the little wins along the way. It’s incredibly rewarding to see children become more confident and engaged as their communication develops.
One of my favourite children’s books is We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen. I love the rhythm and repetition in the story and how it takes children on an exciting adventure through different landscapes. It’s a really engaging book that encourages children to join in with the actions and sounds, making story time fun and interactive.
